PhD Students
Interested graduate students may apply to work with our lab through the graduate program of the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. We highly encourage all potential students to get in touch with Damian prior to submitting an application to ESPM to discuss research interests, lab culture, and funding options (e.g., NSF GRFP, Ford Foundation).

Generally, we are looking for PhD students with a strong background in the biological sciences with an interest in animal behavior and biodiversity. We are particularly interested in students that want to think across different levels of biological organization.

Applying to graduate school can be an opaque process but there are some resources available (see Estien et al 2022) and we are happy to talk through the process with any interested students.
